I'm glad! I was honestly nervous to publish this at first, but I don't regret it for a second since everyone like it.
Wow, that was...really good. I'm at a bit of a loss for words. Thank you, this was beautiful.
I still love these precious gay babies
I absolutely adore this game. The concept itself is imaginative, but what really makes it for me is the fascinating relationship between the characters. It's nuanced and complex, but still heartwarmingly sweet. I think that really speaks to your writing ability, that you don't resort to edginess or melodrama to make something interesting, despite your main characters being eldritch abominations (I also love 'Worth Waiting'). The tone of the fight scene almostthrew me at first but Iris's explanation brought everything back together, it made perfect sense narratively. Sorry to gush, I just want to tell you that this is really good!
Thanks for the wonderful comment and thanks for reading!
Maybe this plays too far into my very obvious soft spot for eldritch dating content, but this work is beyond adorable and I enjoyed every minute of it!
Fantastic all-around. I absolutely love it, i don't really even know what else to say.
This is one of the sweetest things I've played in a very long time. I was grinning like mad at every bit of them supporting each other. I never knew emotionally vulnerable elder gods were something I wanted but now I want more. (I made an account just to tell you how much I loved this game).
Thanks for playing! I'm so glad you liked it. I tried really hard to make them as enthusiastically cute about each other as possible.
this was so amazing!!!!
definitely my favorite interactive fic piece of all time
thank you so much for making this <33
That was so AMAZING!
I loved all the creative speculative fiction aspect, like the worldbuilding of how Iris deals with mimicking a physical form she's not used to. That was really intriguing and helped so much to get inside her head!
And I loved that the 'moral' of the whole thing was that nobody is really 'perfect', and that even if you love somebody more than anything else it's not healthy to idolize them as if you're worthless and they never feel pain ever. It really hit me right in the heart when Iris opened up to Lily at the end, yknow? God that was SO GOOD!
Kind of random additional comment: am I just being silly to get a bit of transgender headcanons here? I don't know if I'm imposing my own experiences onto this, but to me it felt like Iris didn't have any big traditional magic reason to hate her 'true name', it just wasn't her 'true name' even though it was what she was born with. And maybe that was intentionally meant to be relateable to trans people, or maybe it was just a coicnidence, but it added even more reasons why this story hit me so hard in the emotions. it was just really well made! Thank you so much for this great little slice of an intriguing romance, and I'd love to see more adventures of this amazing couple in the future!
I don't know if you'll see this but: Iris is straight-up, unambiguous, non-metaphorical canon trans so you are certainly not silly for feeling that way.
Thanks for reading! Happy you enjoyed it.
It means so much to hear this, seriously! Its so rare to get a chance to hear confirmations about stuff like this, you're a really great creator for answering people's questions like this!
Aaaa I'm even more hyped to follow all of your future projects now!!
Blessings on you for that confirmation. Iris and Lily are best girls and I love them.
